- Devrishi, III BA Journalism and Mass Communication won 2nd place in music competition conducted by COMSCI 23, Organised by Dept of Computer Science and Application SRMIST, Ramapuram.
- Ananda Gopan of II MA JMC, won 2nd place in 69th Senior National Ball Badminton Championship for Men & women doubles, organized by Government science college Ground Gadchiroli, Maharastra from 6th to 10th January 2024.
- Vetri Kamalesh from II MA JMC, won appreciation for the short film “ETHU THEETTU”, in three minute film contest to celebrate the girl child, organised by the creators club, on 10th January,2023, from the department of visual communication, SRMIST, Kattankulathur
- Mr. Magesh of Ist MA Journalism & Mass Communication won 1st Place in corporate walk organized by Stella Maris college chennai on 26th Feb 2024.
- Mr. Magesh of Ist MA Journalism & Mass Communication won 1st Place in corporate walk organized by DG Vaishnav College, Chennai on 14th March 2024.
- Mr. Sharanaharan student of IIIrd BA. Journalism and Mass communication participated and won the first prize and “Thiruvallur sadhanaiaalar” award for short film making in the film festival conducted by Pudhumai kanmani creations, Government of Pondicherry on 14th August 2022. More than 30 films were screened in the festival Despite the 30 different films from different districts, sharan’s Maranthalum Mariyathaay stood out for its heart touching and sentimental story. The film was well received by the audience as well as the chief guests for its camera handling, storytelling and background score
- Mr.Pragadeeshwaran of Ist MA Journalism & Mass Communication participated and won the first prize and cash prize of Rs.3000/- for the Short film, making on the World Mental Health Day 2022 Organised by the Department of Psychiatry & the Department of Health Sciences, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur on 10th October 2022.
- Mr.Ashwin & Ms. Jayalakshmi of III BA Journalism & Mass Communication has selected and joined as paid interns in Aecc global, Thoriapakkam as content writing and video and audio editing for a duration of 3 months with a Stipend of Rs.10,000/- per month.
- Ms. Alan Joy of III BA Journalism & Mass Communication has selected and joined as paid intern in Rela MS Hospitals, Chennai as PR Intern and posted in Branding, handling Social & Digital Media Network for a duration of 4 months with a Stipend of Rs.12,000/- per month.
