TEDXSRMIST
TEDxSRMIST is a not-for-profit organization that aims to inspire and encourage unique perspectives in community. Our team strives to curate engaging talks, performances, and demonstrations that ignite intellectual curiosity, foster learning, and inspire action. An annual flagship event studded with eminent personalities from different walks of life echoes diversity of thought, the power of ideation and the potential of humanity.
At TEDxSRMIST, we believe in the power of teamwork and harmony. In the three years since its inception, the club has organized two highly successful and acclaimed events: Eunoia (2023) and Ektara (2024), with dignitaries such as Dr. Sudheer Kumar (CBPO, ISRO), Disha Kasat (RCB women’d team member) and Ankush Barjata (Entrepreneur and Shark Tank finalist). This year, our team aims to achieve bigger and better milestones, leaving no stone unturned.
TEDXSRMIST would be a student-run club with the primary goal of conducting interactive informational talks on campus. The organization would work under the prestigious name of TED conferences, following all the guidelines and standards of a conventional TED conference. Upon establishment, the club would conduct talks involving experienced speakers in a diverse range of fields. It would not only be a great platform for students to gain invaluable exposure through interactive sessions, but also an opportunity for aspiring speakers to convey their ideas.
Ektara (2024): TEDxSRMIST’s Ektara sought to highlight the notion of communal harmony and co-existence. “A resonance of perspectives, united by a string of hope” was the tagline for this event, personified by a star-studded panel of speakers. The event witnessed talks by Vishal Yadav (CEO, Female Cricket), Disha Kasat (cricketer), Prachi Goswami (pilot and aviation influencer), Dr. Sudheer Kumar (CBPO, ISRO), Prakruti Mishra (actress), Sagar Makwana (self-introspection coach and entrepreneur), Ankush Barjata (CEO, Deeva) and student speaker Shazibsha Younes. Spanning a wide array of topics from perseverance in life to the link between science and spirituality, Ektara left audiences spellbound, wanting for more.
Eunoia (2023): TEDxSRMIST’s maiden event, Eunoia was an intimate, yet profound experience, graced by some of the nation’s most brilliant minds. The event was an eclectic mix of industry professionals, trailblazers and ingenious students alike- Karthik Raghavendran, Dhruv Sikka, Ridhima Mehrotra, Shibu Jeyanth, Sriram Kumar and Sarvjeet Soni.
True to its name, the event explored the horizons of the unknown, encouraging audience to delve deeper and introspect their boundaries. Is there really a limit to the human mind? We’re yet to find out….
