On 7th February 2025, Dr. Tole Siutikno, Professor at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and Dr. Lina Hindayani, Professor in the Department of Public Health at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, visited the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). The visit aimed to explore opportunities for potential technical collaboration between the two institutions, fostering international academic and research partnerships.

On 10th February 2025, Prof. Dr. Rajkumar Roy, Executive Dean of the School of Science and Technology at City, St George’s University of London, UK, visited the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). The visit focused on strengthening academic ties and exploring avenues for future collaboration in research and technological innovation between the two institutions.

On 14th February 2025, Dr. Senol Piskin from Istinye University, Turkey, visited the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). The visit aimed at exploring possibilities for technical collaboration and fostering academic partnerships between Istinye University and SRMIST in the field of Mechatronics Engineering.

On 25th February 2025, esteemed International Advisory Board Members Prof. J. N. Reddy from Texas A&M University, USA, and Prof. Junghyun Cho from Binghamton University, USA, visited the School of Mechanical Engineering, including the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). The visit focused on academic engagement, strategic guidance, and strengthening international collaborations to enhance research and educational outcomes within the school.

On 26th February 2025, Dr. S. Devarajan, Senior Vice President of TVS Motor Company, visited the Centre for Immersive Technologies at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). The visit aimed to explore advancements in immersive technologies and discuss potential industry-academia collaborations to drive innovation and practical applications in this emerging field.

On 20th January 2025, a team from Astemo Ltd., Japan, along with representatives from SRM Tech, visited the Department of Mechatronics Engineering and the Centre for Immersive Technologies at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). The visit focused on exploring collaborative opportunities in advanced technology domains and strengthening industry-academia partnerships for innovation and research.

On 23rd January 2025, a team from the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) visited the Centre for Immersive Technologies and the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). Accompanied by Dr. V. Thirumurugan, Associate Director (Campus Life), the team explored and experienced the cutting-edge facilities, with discussions focusing on the potential applications of immersive technologies in rural development and training initiatives.

On 27th January 2025, Dr. Prasad Panda, Director of Industry Relations at Vignan’s University, visited the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). The visit aimed at exploring possibilities for technical collaboration and fostering industry-academia partnerships to drive innovation and mutual growth.

On 29th January 2025, delegates from SCMS School of Engineering & Technology (SSET), Ernakulam, Kerala, visited the Centre for Immersive Technologies at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). The visit provided an opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art facilities and discuss potential collaborations in the field of immersive and emerging technologies.

The Centre for Immersive Technologies participated in the Industrial Research and Innovation Summit (IRIS ’25) held on April 17, 2025, at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu. The summit aimed to showcase groundbreaking innovations, particularly in the field of bio-innovation, while fostering meaningful collaborations among industry leaders, researchers, and innovators. The Centre’s participation highlighted its cutting-edge advancements and interdisciplinary contributions to immersive and emerging technologies.
