Sports, Athletics, Physical Fitness are integral and therefore an important component of learning and life at SRMIST. There is no more proof or praise to state other than pointing to the multiple top class facilities to provide to our students an opportunity to excel. It has been a conscious effort of our Esteemed Founder & Chancellor, Dr. T R Paarivendhar that led SRMIST to set up all the possible outdoor and indoor facilities like Grounds, Courts, Tracks, Gyms, etc.

It is a delight to see in our students – athletes and sportspersons – an aspiration to do better, excel and win . There are many who have gained admission through a separate sportspersons track into SRMIST. We recognize and acknowledge that the powerhouse of talent must also be nurtured. 

The culture of sports, fitness and good health is given due credence and we have therefore succeeded in making a name for ourselves in local and regional as well as national and international levels.
