Media research analyses the communication process and the relationships between media organizations and their target audiences. The social and psychological characteristics and impacts of various mass media are the subject of media research. Its goal is to collect data on various forms of mass media, such as the amount of time people spend watching a particular medium, the influence of various media on society, the substance and presentation of information, or the success of programmes in reaching their target audiences. As a result, the media has come to rely on study findings for all significant decisions.
