Welcome message

SRMKZILLA

Hello world! Nerdy techies with code editors, developers fixing bugs, and everything “geeky” might be the typical image for a college technical club. Well, SRMKZILLA is a lot more than just a technical club. We are a hub of unique ideas, incredible tech products, resourceful events, quality mentorship, and endless creativity.

SRMKZILLA, inspired by the Mozilla Learning Network, is a part of the network of Mozilla Clubs and serves as a professional technical club at SRMIST. We offer a platform for students to enhance their technical and non-technical skills, collaborating with tech communities and mentors to provide top-notch learning opportunities.

We are a diverse team of individuals united by a passion for innovation and education. Every event we organize is designed to inspire, engage, and create something extraordinary. Recognized as one of the most prominent technical clubs on campus, SRMKZILLA is praised by organizations and loved by students for its interactive events. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support and guidance of our Convener, Dr. R. Annie Uthra (Prof & Head/CINTEL), Co-Convenor, Dr. C. Lakshmi (Prof & Associate Chair person/SOC) and Coordinator, Dr. S. Karthick (Assoc.Prof/CINTEL).

Our Mission

Our mission is to advance open-source adoption and educate students about the latest technological innovations through hands-on workshops, competitions, and conferences. Beyond technology, we aim to make a societal impact through initiatives such as:

  • Technical Projects: Collaborating with startups, companies, and NGOs to work on web and app development projects.
  • Workshops and Events: Organising and hosting various technical and non-technical events, such as MOZOHACK, our national-level hackathon and MOZOFEST, an extravaganza of technical and non-technical events, in order to foster growth and learning in our student community.
  • Environmental Drives: Partnering with NGOs to organize plantation drives for a greener world.
  • Community Service: Visiting local orphanages to bring joy to children and foster community responsibility.

Off the Clock – An event featuring inspiring talks by accomplished alumni of SRMKZILLA in the field of software development and data analysis, enlightening students about various career opportunities provided by SRMIST. These speakers will share their personal journeys and provide valuable insights to guide the new batch towards a path of success.

Multiverse of IoT – Multiverse of IoT was a hands-on workshop organised by SRMKZILLA. Internet of Things is the concept of connecting any device to the Internet and to other connected devices. The IoT is a giant network of connected things and people – all of which collect and share data about the way they are used and about the environment around them. In this workshop, we educated participants through practical knowledge and real-world examples.

Neo’s Nexus – A workshop that aims to educate students about web development and help them truly kick start their journey into tech. The workshop helped students break free of the same outdated and ineffective methods of learning, and gave them innovative approaches to learn.
