Dr.K.S.Vignesh, Assistant Professor, School of Public Health, SRMIST, received the Best Research Thesis Award for his Ph.D Research Thesis, titled “Holistic approach towards integration of Disaster Risk Reduction in School Education System for the Flood vulnerable zone of Kanyakumari District, TamilNadu, India, from the Centre for Natural Hazards and Disaster Studies, University of Madras.

The award was conferred at the University of Madras on Teacher’s Day Celebration by The Chief Guest Prof. Sudha Seshayyan, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University in the presence of Prof. P. Duraisamy, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, University of Madras.”
