Electronics Lab I
This Laboratory primarily aims to meet the requirements of practical work meant for active components basic analysis, designing and testing of Integrated Circuits.
Electronics Lab I
This is a first-level laboratory that provides the foundation for Integrated Electronics. Students are made familiar with analog and digital integrated circuits and their intended use in various applications.
Specifications
Regulated Power Supply, Function Generator, Digital IC Trainer Kit, Digital Storage Oscilloscope, VHDL Trainer kit, LCR Meter, Programming Logic Controller (PLC), Data Converter, Phase Locked Loop (PLL) Kit, Digital IC Trainer Kit:, The built in RPS is 5V, (+12V, -12V), Zif Socket is 20-mm, On-Board Resources – Logic Switches. The Digital Trainer Kit holds Logic gates, Universal gates which can be used for Flips-Flops, counters, registers, multiplexer and de-multiplexer. It is easy to operate , longer serving life and robust construction.

It can generate a wide range of frequencies covers 0.1 Hz to 1 MHz. Frequency stability of 0.1 percent per hour for analog generators or 500 ppm for a digital generator. Output amplitude up to 10 V peak-to-peak.Some generators provide a DC offset voltage, e.g. adjustable between -5V to +5V. An output impedance of 50 Ω.

This laboratory is utilized for conducting the following courses:
15EC204J Linear Integrated Circuits
18EEC203J Digital System Design
18EEC206J Analog Electronics
In addition, this Laboratory is being used by the students for their 18EEP107L – Minor Projects and 18EEP109L Major Projects respectively.
VHDL is a hardware description language which describes the behavior through program or writing a specific code. VHDL is a language used for testing and verification. V Stands for VHSIC which means very high speed integrated circuit and HDL stands for Hardware Description language. It is very easy to design complex digital circuits like Microprocessors, DSP chips, Telecom IC’s etc through VHDL.VLSI have two dimensions, one is designing and another is fabrication, VHDL is used in the design part of VLSI.
