Resource Sharing
SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) Library has become a member of various library networks, to facilitate sharing of resources. Some of these networks are

- MALIBNET (Madras Library Network)
- BCL (British Council Library, Chennai)
- AIRC (American Information Resource Center, Chennai)
- SERC (Structural Engg. Research Centre, Chennai)
- IEI (The Institute of Engineers India)
Infrastructure
Video Facilities
The Resource Centre has a SWAYAM PRABHA DTH educational channel view facility in 7 places across the campus, including the University Central Library.
- The SWAYAM PRABHA is a group of 22 DTH channels devoted to telecasting of high-quality educational programmes on 24×7 basis using the GSAT – 15 Satellite.
- The channels are uplinked from BISAG-N, Gandhi Nagar. The contents are provided by NPTEL, IITs, UGC, CEC, IGNOU. The INFLIBNET Centre maintains the web-portal.
In addition to this, the Library provides NPTEL video lectures through a local server to the Library Members.
Internet Connection
Browsing Center: The Library is the internet service hub of the University and has 150 systems for accessing the Net – from 8.00 am – 10.00 pm.
Reprographics Facilities (xerox)
Two Canon IR 3225, copier machines (Xerox) facilities are available for members to copy the required materials, at a nominal cost.
Suggestions and Complaints
The library always welcomes useful suggestions from Members and the Visitors. It is also responsive to all complaints lodged by users about the collections and services.
