Institutional Renaissance through Industrial Research

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), organized the Institutional Renaissance through Industrial Research (IRIR-2025) at the Kattankulathur campus. The conclave created a vibrant platform to foster collaboration between industry and academia, with a focus on accelerating research and innovation in the semiconductor ecosystem, a key driver of India’s technological future.

The event was graced by eminent leaders, including Prof. Rao Tummala (Emeritus Professor, Georgia Tech & Advisor to ISM, GoI), Mr. Raja Manickam (Founder & CEO, iVP Semiconductor), and Dr. Sasikumar Gendham (President, ELCINA-India). Experts from einfochips, Embedded 360, ZF Group, HCLTech, Valeo, ARK Infosolutions, and Chiptest Engineering shared perspectives on industrial trends, semiconductor advancements, and skill development needs. Their participation underscored the importance of bridging academic research with real-world applications.
