SRM College of Occupational Therapy organized a Continuing Occupational Therapy Education (COTE) & Workshop themed on “Essential Competencies for Occupational Therapists in Gericare ” on 27th of November 2024 at Hospital Seminar Hall, SRM MCH & RC. A total of 77 students of SRM College of Occupational Therapy participated in the program. The program was inaugurated by our honorable Pro Vice-chancellor in charge, Medical and Health Sciences, Dr. Nithin M Nagarkar sir, and, Dr. A. Sundaram sir, Advisor, Medical and Health Sciences, SRMIST. Dr. U. Ganapathy Sankar, Dean, SRM College of Occupational Therapy, SRMIST delivered the welcome address. Esteemed Dr. Nithin M Nagarkar, Pro Vice-Chancellor in charge, Medical and Health Sciences, SRMIST delivered the Presidential address for the program. The special address was delivered by our honorable Dr. A. Sundaram, Advisor, Medical and Health Sciences, SRMIST. Respected Mr.Anbarasu. D sir, Clinical Coordinator, Associate Professor, SRM College of Occupational Therapy introduced the chief guest for the program. The chief guest, respected Dr. Sebestina Anita Dsouza maam, Professor, Department of Occupational Therapy, Coordinator, Center of Studies on Healthy Aging, Manipal College of Health Professions, MAHE, Manipal delivered the chief guest address for the inaugural program. Dr. Sebestina Anita Dsouza ma’am presented an illuminating session on the topic “Essential Competencies for Occupational Therapists in Gericare” for the students of SRM College of Occupational Therapy. The program came to an end with the Vote of Thanks delivered by our respected Mrs. Grace Lydia Sarojini. D, Vice Principal, SRM College of Occupational Therapy, SRMIST.
