Skill And Personality Development Program Centre

The Skill and Personality Development program Centre (SPDC) is funded by AICTE under the scheme of Quality Improvement Scheme (AQIS). SRMIST has established SPDC as a centralized facility in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Kattankulathur campus.

The SPDC Centre has Computer Laboratory, Library and Lecture Hall (Main Block- MB-27). The Centre is equipped with the technical tools for Embedded System, DSP and VLSI Tools. To strengthen the overall personality and employability of SC/ST students, the training programs on communication skills and technical skills are conducted regularly.

Specifications

To establish SPDC, a dedicated training centre for SC-ST students as a common facility in the campus.
To establish a Library containing learning resources for communication development and technical skill development.
To train students in Oral and Written Communication.
To train students in emerging core engineering domains for employability.
To improve the overall personality of the students with value additional trainings.
To make the students to be industry ready and improve employability and entrepreneurship skill development through training programs.
